Property Searchers Foundations
Founded in mid 2000, Property Searchers was set up to work as a buyer's agent servicing the needs of property buyers in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, assisting them in the search and purchase process of property.
Scott McGeever is the founding Director of the company and since inception he has acted as a successful buyer’s representative, purchasing hundreds of properties in all market segments on behalf of local, interstate and overseas clients. The company has purchased many residential, commercial and industrial properties for owners and investors.
Scott is a pioneer of the Buyer’s Agency sector in Queensland, with Property Searchers being one of the first agencies and Scott the first registered property valuer to offer a full buyer’s agency service to the market place. He has virtually written the book on buyer’s agency in Queensland.
Business Expansion
Through Scott's involvement with the Real Estate Buyers Agents Association (REBAA), he forged a sound business relationship with fellow Buyer's Agent, Yvette Goulter of RedRoof in Paddington, who was the REBAA Secretary. It became apparent that there were many synergies between the two businesses, and they shared the same philosophies on client service and buying only quality property. So in late 2009, Property Searchers acquired the RedRoof business, thus becoming the first buyers agency to merge with another and take over their business.
Property Searchers is already Brisbane's first and largest buyer's agency, and with this acquisition and strong business development capabilities, our company plans to grow the business to become one of Australia's finest.

To provide our investor clients with a full service offering, in late 2009 Scott started up affiliate company, Property Minders Asset Management. Property Management is a high turnover industry and it takes a tenacious approach to keep on top of it, so if you have trusted Property Searchers with your purchase, you can now trust Property Minders to look after it like an asset, not just treat it like another management.
Property Searchers Today
Property Searchers has grown from its starting point with two people part time to presently employing five full time staff, plus one part time and two consultants. The company has found a sound balance in being a market leader in the industry while still remaining a boutique agency and offering unparalleled customer service.
